First Saturday of ever month - Lewes Craft Market

Wed 24 October, Lewes Town Hall, 7.30pm (doors and stalls open from 6.30pm).
There's a lot of confusion over plastic - what we can recycle, what we should use instead and what retailers should be doing to help us cut out plastic waste. So Plastic Free Lewes is hosting an evening of speakers and discussion to answer some of your biggest plastic questions.
Panellists include:
Cat Fletcher - Re-use manager for Brighton & Hove Council and co-founder of Freegle UK
Dr Elizabeth Hill - Emeritus Professor (Evolution, Behaviour and Environment), University of Sussex
Ruth Anslow - Co-founder of Hisbe - the independent Brighton 'sustainable' supermarket
A range of enterprises promoting less-plastic living will have stalls on the evening. The event is free but donations are welcome.

The next TTL Social

Monday 29 October 2018, 7.30-9.30 pm at The Lewes Arms

If you're new to TTL or just want to find out more, come along and share your ideas, whether you're interested in local food growing, renewable energy, green transport, inspiring films and talks, or something else. Everyone warmly welcome. Call Juliet on 07887 556 177. (There's no room booked so just wander round until you see our sign!)

Cycle Lewes - 30th October

Cycle Lewes will hold its AGM on Tuesday, 30th October at the Elephant and Castle pub, White Hill (upstairs room) 7.30-9pm. One of the main items on the agenda will be the adoption of its Cycling Strategy for Lewes following a wide engagement process over the summer months. Discussion on the proposed action plan and priorities to implement it will also be discussed.

A new committee including Chair and Treasurer will be elected, and we are looking for more members (and potential members) to get involved in our work.

There will be plenty of time to talk about the ‘ups and downs’ of cycling in Lewes – so come along, bring your stories and any photo shots to share.

See the Cycle Lewes Facebook Page for further details over the next few weeks for further details. info@cyclelewes.org.uk
